RoboGeorgia members are invited to an exclusive guided tour of Kia Georgia, Inc., the first manufacturing site in North America for Kia Corporation, headquartered in Seoul, Korea. Located on 2,200 acres in West Point, the plant began mass production on November 16, 2009, and operates at an annual capacity of 350,000 units. It is home to the Telluride, Sorento, and Sportage SUVs and the all-electric EV9 and EV6 SUVs—representing a total investment of $3.2 billion and employing 3,200 team members.

This is a rare, behind-the-scenes look at one of the most advanced automotive manufacturing operations in the country. Attendees will see the entire manufacturing process—from rolled metal all the way to the finished vehicle—including high-tech stamping, advanced robotics in the weld shop, and highly automated assembly. The plant produces a vehicle every 51 seconds, running three full shifts, 24 hours a day, five days a week. For RoboGeorgia members focused on robotics and automation, the weld shop and automated assembly lines offer a firsthand view of large-scale industrial robotics in production.
